Your Start-Up Doesn’t Need More Experts — It Needs a Mindset Shift
When I first started working on projects, I thought bringing in people with impressive resumes from big-name companies was the secret to success. I expected to see major breakthroughs and fast results. But instead, I kept hearing the same requests:
↳ More resources
↳ More people
↳ More experts
The truth is, the rules for success that apply to big corporations don’t work for a start-up. In fact, doing it the corporate way can quickly lead to failure.
Success in a start-up doesn’t come from bringing in more experts or asking for endless resources. It comes from a mindset shift. Those who truly thrived in my company were the ones who mastered these simple but powerful changes in perspective:
1/ I’m not an expert
↳ I can figure it out.
Let go of perfectionism and the need for expertise. You’ll learn and adapt along the way.
2/ I don’t have enough time
↳ I can make more time.
Prioritizing and focusing on the essentials will create the time you think you don’t have.
